Today marked an amazing day for our family. JM finished his last paper, in the last class he will ever take. 20 pages!!! Proud just does not explain the true emotion behind this accomplishment. Me and the kids have walked through these last three years of course work with JM for him to earn his PhD in Theology, Ethics & Culture. It has been a long 3 years of scheduling, studying, working, and balancing our family. For JM to have done this work and maintain his job & family has been amazing. For me the hardest semesters where the first one and the semester before this last one. It just felt like there was not enough time for anything. But with God's hand, he finished and finished well.

I am extremely honored to have walked this time in our lives with him. I am overwhelmed to know God's call on his life and feel God's love for us as JM continues to seek God's calling. JM has blessed us as a family in his pursuit of God (this is making me cry as I write it). Thank you JM for sticking with it and for being a great husband, dad and friend to us through it all. You are awesome and words can not explain just how proud we are of you. We are ready to tackle the next phase of this PhD and look forward to the day when you are teaching your first class as a faculty member at a University, we just might have to sit in on that class!

I can remember the first time me and the kids saw you teach Intro to Theology at VU. The students connected with you and I saw God's calling for you come alive. You are a wonderful teacher and I am so glad that you love it so! I know it will take a long while to finish your comprehensive exams and then to write your dissertation, but we will be right there with you as you do it and pray for you along the way.

Be blessed for we love and appreciate you!
