"Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails."
She is across the world, a place she said she would never step foot in.
God knocked.
She has been gone for almost a year now, living over 4 months out of a tent and backpack.
God Knocked.
She has fallen into a deep love with her Jesus Christ.
She answered.
"We can't talk about God unless asked."
The reality.
I have been more than moved this week with the out pouring of young adults that are serving God whole hearty. If y0u you know me and if you are reading this you more then likely do, you know that I love college age young adults. It was a time in my own life where I met God in a real way and have never let go. We are getting ready to say good-bye once again to a group of amazing college aged adults. They are being called. Called by God. To go to India, Africa, El Salvador, Spain & The Himalayas. One student in particular has taken a whole year of their life to share the good news for Christ's sake around the world, where it is illegal to share the love of Jesus, where they got severely sick and where they loved on people. I love this kind of abandonment for Christ. I love being able to walk with each one of these students through prayer and faith.
It makes our family want to pack up and go. Go to the ends of the earth for Christ's sake. Yep kids and all...but no dog! It makes me think of my own calling and the calling of our family. I was reading a friend's blog today and she wrote this verse at the end...it is the LORD's purpose that prevails. Meaning God will have his way. And I am so thankful for that. I am thankful that he instructs our paths and guides us as we walk.
It is no secret that JM and I love missions, and more than missions we love community and walking with people in their everyday life. (just writing that makes me cry--and if you know me I am not a big crier! ). But in this last year it is evident that that is our calling. To walk along side God's people. Where ever they are at. God has given me an amazing relationship with Him. One of trust and answered prayers. I believe whole heartily that he will prevail. What His perfect plan is, I do not know. But I am willing to walk through it each day seeking Him as he lights the path. So I Hope in the things unseen and know he will prevail!
Prayer: "God provide in the most amazing way financially for your people! Beyond what I can even imagine!" Amen and Amen!
