We walked hand in hand

Caleb's hand with mommy's

This morning Caleb and I walked RRR to school. Rebekah ran fast a head of us and we strolled our way down the street to drop her off. He was sad because she hurt his feelings by not waiting for him. She stopped gave him a hug and told him she loved him. Then ran ahead again while Caleb held my hand the rest of the way. I said "you are such a good brother." He said "why mommy?" "Because you love her so much, even when she runs ahead of you" I responded. He was content and we waited at the gate for RRR to go into school. They said good bye to each and said I love you.

On our way back home he held my hand. He held it tight and we talked about him being 4 and his monster trucks and the cars we saw. For a second I let go and he asked me, "why did you let go of my hand, I want to hold your hand!" I said "It was hurting, you where squeezing it so hard." He said, sorry mommy and grabbed my hand. Hand in hand we continued home.

It reminds me of how much God desires us to walk hand in hand with him. His hands though bring salvation, where we are free to love and free to live. His hands bring promise and hope, where we can be honest and true. I pray that I hold on as tight as I can for the whole walk home.
