dun-dun-DUN!
He said "mommy I am making an airplane that is going to fly in the wind." I did not really believe him, I honestly doubted that he could make an airplane out of cut up pieces of paper and plates. But to a 4 year old's imagination it was possible indeed! So we sat at the table and he told me where to put all the pieces. By the middle I was convinced that it was an airplane and a great one at that. He said "it's an airplane, my invention!" It was so much fun putting it together, everyone was excited to see it. Once finished he climbed up on his bunk bed and we threw it back and forth "flying" it! "MOMMY IT FLIES IN THE WIND!" It did for a few moments it flew. It flew with pride and then it crashed over and over again!
His Invention! One of my best moments of getting to be his mom!
Update: Today May 2, the airplane was down the street when we got home from church. "It flew, it flew!!!" is all we heard from the back seat. Caleb had put the airplane out on the lawn a few days ago because it was windy and he said that the wind would take it up and it would fly. Indeed it did!
