Your blankets are warmer than mine
He stood at the door of my bedroom 9:45 pm. "Mommy..." I turned and saw a little blond boy looking at me. "Mommy...your blankets are warmer than mine!" I asked him "why are you not asleep yet?" He said "My eyes can not go to sleep, I need your blankets." So I got into our bed with him, which we only do on rare occasions. He asked "Mommy...where is my dad, I need him to go to sleep." I said "He'll be home in 10 minutes and if you are not asleep when he gets here he is going to be upset." He asked again "When is he going to get here?" I said "In ten minutes." He said "uh-oh...that is not going to be good." A few more tosses and turns and holding my hand he fell right to sleep, exactly ten minutes later and then his dad came home carried him off to his bed and he said, "I love you daddy!"
