8 years

Today marks the 8th year of John Mark and I being married. I can say with all honesty that they have been good years. That is not to say that there have not been bumps or hard times but when I look at our life together we are blessed. We met at church and disliked each other from the beginning. We did not agree on a few things mostly missions and fasting. Which are two huge things in our life today as a family. God is amazing at how he works in our lives as individuals and in our marriage. If you know me and JM you know that we are silly and have, what I would call, a unique relationship. It is open and honest and real. Over the eight years we have grown so much. Still very much in love and still very much friends. This year gave me the best gift ever, the most perfect day together. On Sat. he took me to the Getty Museum, dinner and a movie. We laughed. sat in silence (and if you know our family it is rarely silent on our home), had lunch where we could communicate together without being interrupted, we ran in the rain, took pictures, held hands and enjoyed each others company without kids! (aside -- Ashley thank you for this great gift of watching the kids for the entire day, you are a blessing to us and we love you) During the day it felt like when we where dating, relaxing and free. We recalled the days when we where married without kids, lazy Sundays and sound sleep. All in all our eight years have been a blessing with the most amazing cute kids and a great marriage. I love you JM, I truly love you!!!

His favorite city!
