Strange morning

This morning I got to go take the Tahoe (the big green monster) to get new tires. It needed them badly and so I got to wait 2.5 hours while they worked on TBGM. There where 5 other ladies in the "lounge" waiting for their cars as well. A mother and daughter, a lady in her later 40's knitting, a lady in her early 40's on her cell phone trying to pay bills and a lady in her late 30's in sweats who was loosing her hair and writing down everything that was being said. It was a strange group of women and they where all engaging in conversation. I was happy to laugh and listen and would have talked if I could have gotten a word in. But between their gossip on all the stars on the TV and complaining about why their husbands did not bring the car in I just had nothing to say. I did though find it interesting that it really was a great time hanging out with a bunch of strangers who tried to make me feel like part of the group. It was odd because even sometimes when I am with people I know they do not try to make me feel like part of the group. As the hours past and our cars where beginning to be done you could tell that each of the ladies could have sat there for another hour just talking and laughing the day away. Funny how the one thing I did not really want to go do turned out to be a hoot! Praying that God's peace will be with each one of them as they go about their day.
