OH THOSE DONUTS!!!
I had no idea there was such a day. Oh my word, thanks friends that told me of this most important day. Caleb was like "I GET A FREE DONUT!!!" Thanks to Krispy Kreme he did. The funny thing is, is that he has never been to Krispy Kreme, his favorite donut place is DK Donuts, the one on the way to school. If you do not know already Caleb has a serious donut addiction. In fact last year I began to make him pay for his own donuts, he now has a donut jar which he leaves out to gather loose change that he finds or people dump in. He is more than happy to pay for your donut anytime as it means he gets to have one of those sugary delights.
To say he loves them is an understatement. He dreams about them, he wishes his school was at a donut shop, he often wants two at a time, he talks about them and he is not particular to one donut - he likes them all. So on this National Day of Donuts how could I resist him the free donut. He ran to the counter picked his donut and was a sugary mess all within about 2 minutes. As he held the donut while he walked to the table to enjoy it he was saying, "oh this is going to be good!" Then he bit into it...creamed filled, I do not think he took a breathe until he asked for water...half way through. He said "Mom you know how much I love donuts!" RRR and I laughed. He got the cream all over his shirt and all over his face and hands. His only problem with eating the donuts is that he hates sticky things on his hands, but his is will to sacrifice that for the enjoyment of eating the donut.
He finished and he said "I need another one of those!" Totally serious he ask for another. I had to say no. "But Mom you know how much I love donuts, I need another one of those." He stated. The people laughing this whole time as they watched him enjoy that donut. And then they just about fell out of their seat when he asked for another. He even thought about asking someone to give up their free donut so he could have it. Oh the poor boy, Ha! He was happy and left Krispy Kreme content and satisfied with his free donut on National Donut Day!
Notice his hands, carefully picking up the donut, trying not to get to sticky
OK forget about the sticky, hello donut!
It's all technique!!!
That is the "good" stuff that was in the middle of the donut,
it was like icing on a cake, he said
it was like icing on a cake, he said
Sticky donut monster!!!
