Today was the first day that Caleb is home from school and RRR is only in school until about noon. Getting RRR off to school was fine and "normal". The kids actually took advantage of the extra time we have with not having to get CMRs stuff ready and rolled out of bed at 7:20am. We dropped RRR off at school and CMR and I made our way to grocery store to shop. It is now about 9:20am and it hit me. How many more times will I have to hear the word, Mommy, today? I also found out that I sure do not know too much. Almost all the questions CMR asked I answered, "I don't know." Big deep breath and we finished our shopping and on our way home. 10am and putting the grocery's away and starting to work on some projects for RD. Caleb happily entertaining himself with tape, a little skateboard and some twist ties he got from the grocery store, Thank you Henry's!
While I was working he came in and said he needed some band aids. All to which I said, "You know where they are, go ahead and get what you need." (he is 4 mind you) 5 band aids later.... elbow, thumbs, finger, and one on each side of his head. I laughed. He cried when I tried to pull the ones off the side of his head. They got stuck. So we walked to get RRR from school and left the one band aid to "soak" on his sweaty head. Once we got to RRR's school I was able to pull it off...some hair gone and two big red stripes on the side of his head, I laughed. Walking home with the home stretch in sight and a little dog is following us, oh the joy. The kids ran across the street and RRR fell into a mud puddle. And it is only 12:20pm. Get home, changed RRR, made lunch and getting ready for a conference call, to which I am glad my phone has a mute button! This is the beginning of summer! 1:06pm.
