Crazy Stressed out Mom...

We woke up at 7:07am...JM: "what's wrong?" "I am not awake yet." I replied. Went to get JM's lunch and give him a hug. Walked into Caleb's room and he was up with toys in hand and ka-chow slippers on his feet. I picked him up and squeezed him..."mommy...put me down!" So I did with a little whisper in his ear "I love you!" Checked my email and FB, emailed a client 7:13am. JM says good by and we shut the door. Walk into Rebekah's room and CMR was already in there trying to get her up. "Be careful Caleb she is not a morning person (just like mommy!)." He stepped back I leaned over to say good morning and rubbed her back and we pulled her out of bed and into her clothes for school. 7:20am "Caleb get your clothes on for school..." He actually did it! Breakfast, scrabbled eggs and banana bread for the kids. Made Caleb's lunch and off to get ready. Got ready and it was a march to get the house picked up with the toys the kids had played with while I was in the shower. Shoes, socks...we are almost there. Brushed RRR's hair then Caleb's hair and off to get backpacks...coffee!!! Found my coffee mug got my shoes on, grabbed my keys, phone, purse and it was 8:28am. In to the car and at the school 8:30am. She's late! "Run, Bekah run!!!" We yelled. She didn't make it. For the first time all year RRR was actually late and had to go through the office. Errr, so lame! Drive off to get CMR his beloved donut and I remember that I forgot the bread we had baked for Caleb's teacher...ugh! Got the donut. Then back to the house and I got some breakfast (a hard boiled egg) and the bread. Got back to the car and looked at my feet and ugh...I was wearing two different kinds of shoes and did not even know it. I thought to myself for a second "oh no one will know..." I went back inside to get the right shoe. Back in the car and off to take Caleb to school. He was happy, he had his cars and his donut. Get to school and wipe Caleb's face with a wipe and shut the door...ugh...your lunch and backpack. "MOM!!!" he said. Got the lunch and the backpack from the car. In to school we go. Caleb gives the bread to his teach, happy and smiling I said goodbye and he turned and said "mommy wait!" I bent down "what?" He put his arms around me, kissed me and said "I love you, have a good day!" "I love you too, have a great day!" I said, and took a little longer than usual to let him go. Motherhood! Breathing deep.
