Before we went to bed last night JM turned to me and said "I don't want to wake up in the middle of the night and see you raiding the frig!! :)" I laughed. In fact it was a bit strange to actually eat this morning. Everyone was on with their normal business except for me and JM. He saw me take my first bite and I looked at him and said "oh it is good". But I felt confused. Not sure how to enjoy the food. It was not the same to eat anymore. I went so long without it, it felt like JM describes, coming back from a missions trip.
But there we where, JM had made my favorite giant pancake and eggs, I had to skip on the coffee, and we ate. Kids crazy but Rebekah said "mommy you are done with your fast!" I said "yes I am" with a huge smile and she took her pancake and said "I can not even remember when you started it." JM said "a long time ago." Then we heard sprinkles on the roof. What an amazing answer to prayer. We needed a little rain to help with the fires in LA. And I wanted rain because I was tired of the heat. "So Lord thank you for providing for our needs."
And so now we are getting ready for our tea party this afternoon with our dear friend Ashley. I am enjoying the community of family and friends and the breaking of the bread!
