Our new team!

I am getting so excited about going to El Salvador again with Vanguard students. This year as every year we have begun to meet with our team. There are 4 students and our family. Already I am beginning to see new friendships formed and God working in all of our lives. My prayer for me is that I will allow God to use me in a new way and not to be stuck in how he has used me in the past. I want a fresh and new experience. It is easy for me to just go through motions sometimes and pretend. But honestly I am so looking forward, even now, in meeting Christ and being still in the spirit. Our team is small but that excites me because it is easier for me to build stronger relationships that way.

Spanish: I have found a new love again! For some reason this past weekend I spoke Spanish to complete strangers and dear old friends. For three days straight it was all Spanish. Today I found myself thinking, writing and speaking to myself in Spanish. How wonderful! I even talked to the kids in Spanish and they just returned a look of "crazy mom". That is OK because I am a bit crazy, as we all know, and I truly want to continue getting better at my Spanish.
