Yesterday the kids and I had so much fun playing at the park. We where there for a good 2.5 hours. At the end I told Caleb that we would go to the store and look for a BIG TONKA truck for him. As you all know Caleb LOVES trucks; big trucks, small trucks, semi-trucks, trash-trucks and tiny trucks. I told Rebekah she could get something too. Well we got to the toy store and we found a truck for Caleb $17.95 on sale! He joyfully played with it in the basket while RRR decided on a toy for herself. Of course all the the toys she wanted where too expensive (as daddy would say...like mother like daughter). So I think for about 15 minutes we walked around the store and RRR said "this one", I said "no, it's too expensive." After RRR decided on a doll Caleb turned to me and handed me the truck and said "mommy, I don't want this...it's too expensive." So he made me put it back and he got a tiny semi-truck for $5.99! Of course I was almost in tears. What a big boy (2.5 years old).
So that night he was in the bath and he told his dad "I didn't get the TONKA truck." JM was so proud of him and he told him maybe for Christmas. Caleb smiled and that night went to sleep playing with all his trucks.
